Public Library Programming
Talk Time
For the past two years I've organized a weekly conversational meet up for new English language learners to practice their skills. Planning the program requires coming up with conversation topics and games, and characteristics of a good host include superior time management, social competency, and above all, warmth and friendliness. This photo is from a crossover event we did with the Innovation Lab where patrons made video slideshows with voice over to share with their families in other countries.

Film Strip Club
I assist two program leads, one from Austin Public Library and one from the Texas Archive of the Moving Image, with their 16mm film animation program. Participants use markers, paint, and scratch tools to animate film leader. After a group screening on the projector, the TAMI team digitizes their films free of charge.

Love Notes: A Type-In
I partnered with Austin Typewriter, Ink. to put on a Valentine's Day themed event for all ages. Attendees were invited to play with over 15 different vintage typewriters and were provided with stationary for writing letters and love notes.

And more!
