KPRC Film Preservation Intern
As the KPRC Film Preservation Intern, I worked directly with TAMI’s Technical Director to rehouse 16mm news footage from the KPRC collection. This project is part of a larger effort to preserve the legacy of KPRC Houston, a news station that has donated physical assets, including 16mm film and analog videotapes, to TAMI for digital reformatting and preservation. I contributed to this ongoing project by rehousing previously digitized footage, digitizing footage, and cataloging footage, and I gained skills in media archiving, preservation of analog film, cataloging, and Texas history.
